Abstract: On December 28,2025,the annual meeting of the Daoist Doctrinal Studies Research Association was held in Lanxi,Zhejiang Province.With the aim of advancing the establishment of Daoist doctrinal studies as an independent academic discipline,the conference was divided into four parallel sessions,focusing on topics such as the Sinicization of Daoist doctrine,thematic studies in Daoist doctrinal research,rituals,alchemy,and faith dialogue,as well as Daoist philosophical analysis and its applications. The keynote speeches centered on the conceptual definition of Daoist doctrine,its historical logic,and the construction of a contemporary system,emphasizing the necessity of unifying tradition with timely innovation.The panel reports demonstrated a distinct interdisciplinary character,encompassing both philosophical and historical examinations of classical texts—such as analyses of Zhuangzi’s hermeneutics, the integration of the Three Teachings,and the evolution of the Daoist pantheon —as well as cutting-edge dialogues from modern perspectives including linguistics,psychology,and artificial intelligence.The conference built a bridge between faith and scholarship while upholding tradition and fostering innovation, revealing the theoretical potential and practical vitality of Daoist doctrine in responding to contemporary challenges and contributing to the Sinicization of religion.
